Action Breeds Good Fortune

God I love Pink Floyd. For those of you who follow @Congruent Academy on Instagram, you know that one of my summer goals is to listen to a record collection that I’ve acquired. Rather than have them collect dust, I’ve taken them off the shelf. After all, records were made to be played.

This has been great for several reasons. I am becoming more cultured, and in exploring this small collection, that natural impulse is being restored to other areas of my life.

Everything connects. This is especially true in this era of estrangement. A line from one of the Pink Floyd records I listened to this week cries ‘Action brings good fortune’. Yet another universal rule on the books for Congruent Academy.

But it is true, and I am confident that some of your lived experiences would agree. We are capable of creating opportunities for ourselves as a result of our choices. Luck is a little more than being in the right place at the right time, and is squandered by inaction. What actions can you take today to create your own luck? Of course there are only the natural guarantees of life (death and taxes) but you have a much better chance of getting the life you want if you use your time right. Take action and you’ll find yourself a lot further along in life. Oh god, I sound like a fortune cookie.
